On coaching
Postumi’s coaching is grounded in her belief that word and sound form an inseparable unity — each revealing the expressive depth of the other. Drawing on her experience as conductor, pianist, and composer, she cultivates in singers an awareness of musical gesture as the continuation of language itself. Her teaching emphasizes precision, clarity of intention, and the shaping of sound through meaning and dramaturgical intention. Her coaching ranges from internationally renowned soloists to prestigious choirs such as the Rundfunkchor Berlin.
In addition to her position as lecturer and coach in Lied and Italian Opera at the Akademie für Tonkunst Darmstadt, which she has held since 2022, her academic activities expand as of Fall 2025 to include a post at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, where she teaches Italian diction and vocal repertoire.
Postumi served as staff répétiteur and musical assistant at the Staatstheater Darmstadt (2020–2023) and at the National Opera of Iceland (Íslenska óperan, 2017–2023), and worked in the same function at the Norwegian National Opera in Bergen (Den Nasjonale Operaen i Bergen), the Teatro Solís in Montevideo, Oper Leipzig and Staatstheater Nürnberg in Germany etc. — experiences that have profoundly shaped her collaborative approach to vocal interpretation. She has furthermore participated as a coach in renowned masterclasses in Italy and England (Spoleto Vocal Arts Masterclass, Tosti International Academy).
Between her artistic work and academic positions, she maintains a private coaching studio in Berlin, Germany.
